Teen Chakra & Restore Workshop, Sunday April 11, 10:30 am MST

Need an energy re-boot? This one’s for you! This 75 minute workshop is specially developed with teens in mind. We will practice calming, restorative postures which are fully supported on the floor using pillows and blankets as props to revitalize over-stressed physical bodies. We’ll hold each posture for 3-6 minutes to really drop into full relaxation mode. Each posture will support one of the 7 Chakras, or energy centers, along the spine. We’ll delve a little deeper into what each Chakra means and how it can support us and our mental, physical and emotional well-being. Rounding out the experience, we will enjoy a guided color meditation to offer an opportunity for teens to slow down, take a break and take a breath. Price $25 per teen. Teen Meditation & Nidra Workshop, Sunday April 25, 10:30 am MST

Does your mind go a zillion miles an hour? You’re not alone! Teens, in particular, have grown up in a world where information sharing is faster than ever, and our brains aren’t necessarily equipped to deal with that. "Too much information" can lead to stress, tension, anxiety, even depression, particularly during a teen's unique developmental stage. Enter: Meditation. Meditation is a practice of mental focus on one thing instead of all the things, and it can offer a myriad of benefits to center and calm our parasympathetic nervous systems, the system that is most affected by stress and anxiety.  Tried it before and “can’t do it?” This is especially for you! Join us for a 75 minute workshop geared toward teens to add a few simple tools you can use for a little more focus and a lot more calm. Learn basic centering breath work techniques to ground yourself. Experience a fully guided meditation that will take your focus to lighter places. A Yoga Nidra experience, the “Yoga of Conscious Sleep”, will round out this practice to revitalize you and your whole self. Leave feeling lighter and more equipped with techniques to lighten your heart whenever you need it. Price $25 per teen.
